A1 Beginners

Upon completion of this level, you can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and fundamental phrases. You can introduce yourself and others, ask and answer personal details, such as where you live, people you know, etc.

A2 Basic

When you complete this level, you can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to most immediate relevance such as personal, family information, employment, etc. You can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a primary and direct exchange of familiar and everyday knowledge. You can describe aspects of your background, immediate situation, and needs in simple terms.

B1 Pre-Intermediate

At the end of this level, you can understand the main points of clear standard language on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, recreation, etc. You can deal with most situations and produce simple, connected text on familiar topics or personal interests. You can describe experiences and events and briefly explain opinions and plans.

B2 Intermediate

By the end of this level, you can understand multiple texts' main ideas on particular and abstract topics, including discussions in your field of specialization. You can communicate with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes routine interaction with native speakers quite possible.

C1 Upper Intermediate

Completing this level means you can understand a wide array of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. You can express yourself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. You can use language flexibly and adequately for social, academic, and professional purposes.
